the prettiest purse that has a diaper bag day job {lily jade review}

lily jade canvas bag

Lily Jade.

Did your heart just make an audible quivering gasp?

It’s the bag. THE bag, people. The prettiest (diaper) bag in the world. Landon and Meggan were generous enough to send me the Madeline in Red Canvas to share about with you all.

Should I go on and on and tell you how the quality of leather and stitching is truly of the highest caliber?

Should I tell you that I’m putting my  hand-me-down Alma in blue monogram Louis Vuitton in the closet and using this instead?

Should I tell you it holds everything like Mary Poppins’ bag? Maybe part of that is the organizer that sneaks inside. No more lost anything. You will not believe how many more things you can squeeze into your purse with the help of this “baby bag.

Should I tell you you can hold it like I am here, or with a single shoulder strap, or like a backpack?

Should I tell you I now feel like part of a secret club whose members can joyfully wink at one another and give a head nod?

I’m just going to let the pics say it all. Go shop their store. Now. This model is on sale for a limited time. $40 off! We bought my mom this one. Because grandmas need stylish purse bags too!

And because they’re so super sweet, they’re running a giveaway of THREE of my bandit bibs on their instagram account. Run to it!

Oh, look, I got dressed! (Don’t worry, it was momentary.) It doesn’t even look like a diaper bag.

Loving the magnet snaps. Easy as snap snap snap!

Sophie was tucked in there by SuperBoy. He thought she needed a cosy spot.

She does look rather cosy, doesn’t she?

That tassel! The bead on it! The baby loves to play with that part. The leather work is really high quality. I own several very high end designer bags, some bequeathed to me, some purchased back when I was earning the medium size bucks as a lawyer. And this leather is the same or even better than a purse whose price had another zero on the end of it. It’s soft but durable. I love the slight patina it is developing on the bottom sides where my weightily packed bag sags a little. Like a nice dimple.

I love the canvas over leather body simply because my kids insist on dragging it around–and are in a constant state of almost scratching everything. The canvas is wipeable and washable (as is the inside, thank goodness as we’ve already had a few spills) so no trace of their toddlerhood remains on it!

It just fits so snuggly snuggling under your arm.

And now, the star of the show!

Wait for it . . .

Oh, no, the grass is way more interesting than anything else. And as someone inquired, the knit blanket is one of my own. A few others like in the old etsy shoppe.

And lastly, a little Lily Jade tour of our house. I think it fits right in, don’t you?

And in the Kitchen, naturally, where we all live.

Love love love Lily Jade. And I love that the people who gave it to me are creative, hardworking, and fashioning an affordable designer handbag that doubles as a diaper bag during the day. Support small businesses that produce high quality work!

{and if you missed another wonderful small business owner’s giveaway earlier this week, don’t forget to get in the raffle for kate quinn organic baby clothes!}

This bag is with us allll the time so if you wanna see it in action, hop over to my insta account and see it at the horse show this one time . . . .

    I love my Lily Jade bag. I took out the insert since I don’t have baby stuff to organize in there anymore. And it’s the perfect bag either way.

    Is that really your house?? Gorgeous!

    I love that you put it throughout the house. So funny. And your entrance hall is magnificent.

    Love the house tour and I love your house.

    You sold me on it the other day! I have one coming in the mail any day now. (!!!!) Although I’m going to make myself wait until Christmas for it just for a little extra anticipation.

    Also, your house is GORGEOUS! I am ever so slightly jealous. We don’t have anything in California that comes even remotely close. (Or, if it does, it sells to the tune of a couple million dollars. On sale.)

    Sooooo pretty! I wonder if I could talk anyone into gifting me one for my birthday? How “mom” is it that I want a fab diaper bag for a gift for myself?
