7 Quick Takes volume ?

It’s been a wild week with some health problems for me (in the never ending saga of still healing from my 10 pound baby) and my etsy shop getting really busy with a bunch of new offerings. And so many great articles around the net! And the Wellness Family Summit that was a free online conference all about health.

Wild. I tell you. Wild week.

Me: let’s just say the hits keep coming with another round of infections and a new problem that hopefully won’t require surgery. Because no one wants to know about my lower regions, we’ll keep it to that. If I’ve not emailed you back or been slow on the responses, it’s not you. It’s me. Thank goodness for dear friends who come over for a playdate, bring the lunch, bring a dinner, clean up, and hold my baby so I can just lay there and yak yak yak at them while the kids play happily in the driveway. How blessed? So blessed.

etsy, not regretsy! Should I even tell you about regretsy? Just google it. It’s a hilarious site about things that people regretted buying on etsy. Let’s just hope none of mine ever end up there. So new offerings–or should I tell you about what’s been hot lately? I’ve mailed so many little boxes of love out! New offerings. We’ll stick to simple.

British wool scarves! Simple double wrap scarf that will take the place of your neck warmer, or neckgater if you’re Minnesota, that’s made of some nasty polyester fleece and pilled from over snot dripping. Four colors! Does that type look silly? I’m so not the graphic designer in the family!

Cotton stretchy leggings! Grace convinced me. So I did it. And I LOVE them on my kids and cannot wait to make more more more. Available in sizes birth-4T in these patterns so far. But I have two organic cottons I’m whipping up to join the mix soon. For boys AND girls.

Five Favs are back! Linking with Jenna at Call Her Happy are anyone’s favorite five things going on their lives. Come and check and link up! I know I’ll be there.

Love that Katrina did a great recap on the 100 event! And Lyz on Rage & Dogs.

Are you following Sarah’s poem a day in October? It’s truly changing my brain by bringing back poems from my poetry english undergrad degree. This one made me weep.

Susanna’s chore list. Can I do this??? Wow. She’s freshly expecting number 4 after a loss so please keep her & baby in your prayers. I really want to get ahold of my household chores. They’re disastrously in fail zone.

Wellness Family Summit had its first year doing this week long free conference online. Do you see these things and think hokey? Because I do. #judgingnotjudgingyesjudging But I like this one because I really like Wellness Mama & Wellness Media. They’re not out to make a buck. They really want to help you actualize your desires to be healthier. Plus, Olivia is one of my favorites.

I hope you feel better soon! Post partum recovery can get pretty drawn out! I know all about it. And I hope my checklist helps you. I think you have a bit more to clean than I do.

Thanks, friend! Haahaa it’s a mess over here!

I’m in love with your etsy shop. I’m really hoping I have a girl so I can get a couple things. Those little birch tree leggings are adorable!

You are so kind, Rachel!! I’m getting FIVE fabrics in that are more “boy” without having footballs on them–for leggings 🙂

      • Kathy H on October 19, 2014 at 1:41 pm

Yes more boy pants! My mother has gotten this baby more newborn and 3 month onsies than I can count, but I hate to tell her she forgot pants! He’s going to be chilly without some leggings when he gets here in December!

    Checking that checklist out. 😉

Finding myself in the fail zone often these days.

      I totally live there. #failfailcleaning!

Wow this is CHOCK-full of good stuff! I’m just a little worn out reading about it all. And if I say I’m keeping your lady parts in prayer is that creepy? Totally mean it in the least weird way possible.

Oh, Nell, feel better soon. Not a fun place to be aching. 🙁

I love the birch bark/bird print on those leggings. It makes me think of Finland.
