5 Favorites ##linking with Jenna & girls

five favs

So party people.

Five FAVORITES IS BACK! Jenna over at Call Her Happy is hosting. Basically this means you write a blog post about five favorite things happening around the web or products or whatever. Then you link it up with Jenna! It’s such a fun way to hear from your friends and trusted e-companions what’s the haps. What’s on the scene. For those of us living under a rock . . . or in our husband’s bathrobe and slippies– that last word an ode to number 2.

1) Rosehip Seed Oil

rossehip

My sister Molly’s organic skincare line. Omgaaaash. I use it everyday. As do my kids. And my husband. And my mom. And dad. And about half of the continent of Asia as they’re super popular over there. This business is booming and very in demand because people love high quality organic skincare that actually works. No snake oil here.

Right now I’m in love with her rosehip seed oil. I use it daily on SweetPea’s dry face and my own wrinkling aging face. Yes. I’m aging, remember??

Molly explains it here.

And sells it here.

Buy. Slather. Smell nice.

2) Arrested Development

AR

I don’t even have to watch it. I’ve seen the whole series so many times. We quote it to each other every single day. Yes. Sometimes it is my only humor for the day.

If you somehow were living under a rock and missed this, what are you waiting for?

3) Everyday Sacrament: the Messy Grace of Parenting by my dear e-friend, real-life friend Laura Fanuccieveryday sacrament laura fanucci

If you’re not following Mothering Spirit, you’re missing out. She has such a distinct tone and voice and she’s beyond a blogger. She’s a real writer, not like yours truly. It’s a craft finely honed. Anyway, she’s coming out with her first book this early winter. So soon!!! I have been gleaning insights into it and what’s inside on her series about start seeing the sacraments. LOVE IT!!

4) Molly’s Usborne Book Sales going to help Mary & Courtney

usborne books

Molly is my literary guru. She’s also incredibly generous and offering a portion of her proceeds from her Usborne book sale through the end of the month for the Lenaburgs whose daughter is in hospice at their home.

Shop for books? Go here.

And then go back to Molly’s blog to glean wisdom on children’s lit. She’s it. That’s a lot of rhyming. Nice, Nell.

5) Amanda’s Yarn Wreath

erring on the side of love wreath

I just love Amanda. Her blog is so fun and beautiful. AND informative! I am terrible on household crafts. I just cannot do them.

But when I saw her Fall Yarn Wreath. And then I thought maybe I could do this? Not that I have. But I have hope now. Thanks to her. Go visit. Tell her I said hi 🙂

You are the sweetest! Thanks for the linky love! Made my night…ok, it is tied with the fact that all my children were bathed and in bed by 8 pm. 😉 But that is saying a lot!!

Omgaaaaash, I’m so excited about #1 & #3. Never heard of them, sure I would love them.

I must go back and re-watch AD. It’s been way too long.

I love Amanda, too. And I totally laughed out loud at your comment about the wreath because I had the same thought. Hey, I can do that! Not that I have, but I *could*!
