So sweet! My new baby and our little Peter will be pretty close in age, so it’s great to see other sibling pairs that are close as well!

These two are 22 months apart and sooooo in love with each other. Well, sometimes it’s a one-way street, SweetPea to SuperBoy (“That’s a chokeable hazard and not for you!!!” “WAAAAAAAA!!”) But he really loves being around and with her and loves to help out, especially flicking on the light in her room when she’s crying and saying “Hi Big Sweets; it’s okay, I’m here.” Your little Peter will LOVE having his own person to boss around!!
[…] Why can’t I read to you the same book 80 million times? Because I need to change the baby’s diaper, then nurse her again, and then find her hidden burp. Because mama’s voice is taking a quiet time. Or because the book needs a nap. Or because your trucks really need to visit the construction site dump we set up this morning. I try to not blame the baby out of concern that it could set up resentment down the road. There’s very little sibling rivalry now–him being over two and a half and her being almost 11 months–perhaps because they both get lots of adult attention with family around so much, or because we’re always encouraging their sibling love. {Sibs.
